16. Palm Beach Atlantic University Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy, West Palm Beach, FloridaPalm Beach Atlantic University is an interdenominational university with a student body of 3,579 students. Established in 1968, the University sits on a 25-acre campus and it offers more than 50 academic programs throughout nine schools including the School of Arts & Sciences, the Rinker School of Business, the MacArthur School of Leadership, and the Schools of Communication & Media, Education and Behavioral Studies, Ministry, Music & Fine Arts, Nursing, and the Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy.

The Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy (aka Gregory School of Pharmacy or Gregory School) is home to more than 300 students and a faculty of 30 “leading” scholars, pharmacists, and experts. Program offerings include the Pharm.D., a Joint Pharm.D./MBA, and a B.S. in Medicinal Chemistry. Tuition for the Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy is $16,500 per semester.

 

17. Touro College of Pharmacy, Vallejo, California
Touro was established in 1970 with a focus on higher education for the Jewish community. The school, which also focused on Liberal Arts & Sciences, welcomed its first 35 students in 1971. Today, Touro is home to a diverse population of 19,000 students from across the U.S. and 5 other countries.

Known in the academic world as “The Touro College and University System,” but commonly called “Touro,” the system is made up of more than 30 colleges, universities, schools, institutes, and centers. Touro College of Pharmacy is located at Touro University California in Vallejo, California.

The University, which sits on a 44-acre campus, was established in 1997 and is home to 1,403 students. The University’s first College of Pharmacy class graduated in 2009. Offerings include the Pharm.D. degree, the Pharm.D./MPH Dual Degree, and a M.S. in Medical Health Sciences. Enrollment for all programs combined is 100+.

18. Appalachian College of Pharmacy, Oakwood, Virginia
Established in 2003 as the University of Appalachia College of Pharmacy, Appalachian College of Pharmacy is the only three-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Home to around 190 students, the College houses the 25,000 square feet Garden Hall, the 30,000 square feet McGlothlin Hall, and The Mountain Care Center, which serves uninsured and low-income residents.

Tuition for the Appalachian College of Pharmacy is $11,167 per term for Fall and Spring, and $11,116 for the Summer term.

 

19. Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Albany, New York
Established in 1881, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) is the nation’s 14th oldest pharmacy program. The College, which has a main campus in Albany, New York, and a satellite campus in Colchester, Vermont offers the only pharmacy program in the State of Vermont. Home 1,700 students, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences offers a wide variety of degrees and related programs for aspiring pharmacists.

Offerings include the Pharm.D., M.S. degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health Outcomes Research, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Cytotechnology and Molecular Cytology, and Biotechnology, and a B.S./M.S. in Biotechnology/Cytotechnology.

The College also offers B.S. degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biomedical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Health and Human Sciences, and Microbiology, as well as many Joint Degree programs.

Pacific University is the oldest chartered university in the West. Chartered in 1849, Pacific University has three campuses including Forest Grove, Eugene, and Hillsboro, Oregon as well as a location in Portland, which houses the M.F.A. in Writing and a Hawaii Office.

The School of Pharmacy is located at Pacific University’s Hillsboro campus. The campus consists of a five-story building with more than 100,000 square feet of space. The School, which admitted its first class in 2006, offers a three-year curriculum leading to the Pharm.D. degree and Pre-Pharmacy program.

21. Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy, New Orleans, Louisiana
Xavier University of Louisiana was founded in 1925 by St. Katharine Drexel and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. Listed among the nations “Best 378 Colleges” by Princeton Review (2014), Xavier is the only historically Black Catholic College or University in the U.S. The school, which sits on a 27-acre campus, is now home to more than 4,500 students enrolled 90 undergraduate majors/concentrations and 55 minors, across three colleges.

Established in 1927, The Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy ranks among the nation’s Top 20 Colleges of Pharmacy in research funding by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the College of Pharmacy is home to more than 600 students and it offers the Pharm.D. degree.

22. Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy, Loma Linda, California
Established in 1905 by Seventh-day Adventist church, Loma Linda University (LLU) is a private, church-affiliated, coeducational health sciences college with a student population of 4,652. The school, which sits on a 97-acre campus, just 60 miles east of Los Angeles, houses eight schools (Allied Health Professions, Behavioral Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Religion, and Pharmacy) that offer more than 55 degree programs.

Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy admitted its first class in Fall 2002. The School offers a full-time, four-year Pharm.D. It is “the first offering of the professional doctorate in pharmacy degree program by a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher learning.” While the School reviews all applications, “priority is given to those students who are on track to complete a bachelor's degree in biological, chemical or related sciences.” In addition, LLU School of Pharmacy does not accept transfer students from other pharmacy programs.

23. St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy, Rochester, New York
St. John Fisher College was established in 1948 by the Basilian Fathers. The College, which began as a men’s college, became coeducational in 1971. Today, this independent,

Liberal Arts college is home to 2,900 students and it offers more than 50 programs across five schools. This includes Wegmans School of Pharmacy.

Named in honor of Robert Wegman, the late President of Wegmans Food Markets who donated $5 million to start the school, Wegmans School of Pharmacy opened in the Fall of 2006 with 55 students, nine faculty, and two staff members. Today, the School is home to more than 300 students and 40+ faculty and staff. Wegmans School of Pharmacy, which is “the first of its kind in Monroe County and the fifth in the State of New York,” offers the Pharm.D.

24. University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy, San Antonio, Texas
The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) is Texas’s fourth-largest private university and the largest Catholic university in the state. The school, which sits on a 154-acre campus, was established in 1881 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. Originally named “Incarnate Word College,” UIW began as a women's college.

Today, as a coeducational institution, the University of the Incarnate Word admits more than 9,000 students from across the U.S. and over 70 countries. The University of the Incarnate Word offers 80 undergraduate and graduate fields of study across nine colleges and schools. This includes the Feik School of Pharmacy.

Established in 2004, the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy is located near the heart of downtown San Antonio. With an average class size of 100 students, the School offers a Pre-pharmacy program and the Pharm.D. Tuition for the Feik School of Pharmacy is $32,500 per year or $895 per credit hour, and $4,890 per clinical rotation.

 

25. Long Island University Pharmacy (LIU Pharmacy), Brooklyn, New York
Chartered in 1926, Long Island University began with an impressive 312 students.

Today, the school is home to 24,449 students and it offers 600 degree and certificate programs. The school, which sits on a 307-acre main campus, has campuses across New York and overseas in Costa Rica, Thailand, Turkey, and more. The University’s Brooklyn campus is home to Long Island University Pharmacy (LIU Pharmacy).

Established as the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy in 1886, the Long Island University  Pharmacy (LIU Pharmacy) is the oldest unit of Long Island University and one of the largest private colleges of pharmacy in the country. Housed at the 11-acre downtown Brooklyn Campus, the College became affiliated with the University in 1929 and merged with the Brooklyn Campus in 1976. Also in 1976, the College became known as LIU Pharmacy-the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences of Long Island University.

Offerings include the Pharm.D., a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, and M.S. degrees in Drug Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacology/Toxicology, and Pharmaceutics (Industrial Pharmacy or Cosmetic Pharmacy).
